Community Library - Education Justice Project

The Education Justice Project is accepting applications until March 1, 2024!

EJP’s Community Library at Danville Correctional Center contains over 4,000 volumes in addition to other resources that serve the academic pursuits and research needs of EJP at the prison. The Community Library also offers programming and community space typical to academic and public libraries—a purposeful third space.

Its primary goal is to help students develop skills useful to success in upper-division university courses. EJP students also serve as library workers and contribute towards development of the library’s acquisition policy, library use procedures, and other institutional policies.

We do not current have a Community Librarian. Please see the job description below for this role, which requires 20 – 30 hours/week.
